Crawfish Country = Heaven

We’ve settled in to Farr Park RV Campground here in Baton Rouge and we’ve been loving the food!

Sunday we went to Sammy’s Grill to have some much needed and missed boiled crawfish… Yum!

Yesterday was a rain day for Allen so we ran some errands and stopped to have lunch at Mike Anderson’s (recommended by our friends Carmen and Doug in San Francisco)… Excellent choice!

We had the Juke Joint IPA and fried crawfish tails to start. Then shared the seafood pasta primavera and the sampler lunch with gumbo, crawfish etouffee, shrimp and catfish… So delicious!

Part of our errands yesterday included a trip to Joann Fabrics… I have an idea that I’m really excited about but will be a LOT of work! I want to make slip covers for the benches in the garage. They are brown and tan now, and although Allen claims to love those colors, I want to liven them up a bit (well, a lot actually). So here’s my inspiration…

 And the current situation…

Well, actually this is the current situation….

We haven’t taken the bike out or set up since we are planning to leave here in the next day or two.

We picked out a bunch of different fabrics yesterday and I can’t wait to start this!

We also got our old license plates hung up yesterday.

And we finished Season 3 of Vikings.

I just got some Adobo Chicken going in the slow cooker and started a loaf of the SOFTEST bread EVER… The tower Allen is working on is right down the street so I’m thinking he may come home for lunch, if he’s not stuck 800ft in the air! I can see it from the campground…

It’s the one on the right hand side.
