Homemade Hamburger Buns

  • 1 cup of warm milk
  • 3tbs vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 3 1/2 cups white flour
  • 1tbs sugar
  • 1tsp salt
  • 2tsp yeast

Put all these goodies into the bread pan and hit the “dough” button. After that’s done, take the huge dough ball out and shape it into 6-8 bun shaped balls. (Normal dough balls that are then flattened a little=bun shaped). Cover with a kitchen towel and let them rest for almost an hour. Preheat your oven to 400 or convection oven to 375. Brush the tops of the buns with an egg wash (egg white+2tbs water) and  sprinkle with sesame seeds~only if you want to! Stick them in the oven for 10-15 minutes, watching closely to make sure they don’t get too dark or burn. Then let them cool before slicing as it makes it a little easier.

We’ve had chicken salad on these bad boys as well as huge grilled burgers and they were delicious! They were also HUGE, so that’s why I said 6-8 buns…
