This was so easy. And so simple. I was skeptical at first. But it truly does make a world of difference with the texture. Lots of bread machine bread comes out a little dense. This is light and airy and SOFT.
- 1 cup of hot water
- 2tsp yeast
- 3tbs sugar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1tsp salt
- 3 cups white flour (not bread flour)
This makes a 1.5lb loaf.
The trick is to put the hot water, yeast and sugar into the bread pan and let it sit for about 10 minutes. It’ll get frothy and foamy while the yeast is doing it’s thing. Then add in the rest of the ingredients, set the machine for white/basic cycle. I did “rapid” crust but I’m sure light would be good too. Seriously, it’s so soft.
