Teton Reservoir BLM – Rawlins

BLM land near Rawlins, Wyoming.

This is about 15 miles off I-80. From Rawlins, take Wyo 71 south approximately 13 miles and turn left on BLM Road 3418. Go about 3/4 mile and turn right into campground.

That little circle on the right of the screen is where we stayed. There are a few campsites up there as well as some at the top of the image with a boat ramp.

The road is paved most of the way, the last couple miles are wide gravel road. Take your time because of the bulldozer tracks. It’s not maintained in the winter. The campground roads are all dirt but easy enough to navigate if you take your time and pay attention.

The spot we picked was really unlevel, making me love our hydraulic leveling system even more! But we got there at last light and got parked! We had a picnic table, a fire ring and a grill. Most of the sites seem to be getting overgrown with sage brush but it was a beautiful view nonetheless!

There’s a boat ramp and toilets also. There was one other car there when we stopped. Oh, and did I mention it was free? We stayed one night in July 2016.
