Frontier, although not close to much in the way of nightlife or entertainment, is a pretty park nestled in the woods in the country. There is a State Park very close by where we went fishing a couple of times. Walter is the owner and he lives on site, above the office. He keeps the place really secure and he’s around most of the time, working outside. He sells firewood and ice at a decent price. There are fire rings and picnic tables at each site. The roads are gravel and so are the sites. It seems to be mostly seasonal folks who just come in on the weekends. There are a handful of workers, mostly pipeline. But during the week it’s very quiet.
There is a putt putt golf (it needs some work but we played on it!) There’s also a little playground. There are little rental cabins also. Walter seems to try really hard with the place, you can tell he’s spent some time on it. I would stay here again if we were in the area.
