We found this park by a suggestion for a big rig friendly spot on the way from Seattle to the Oregon Coast. It’s a pretty park. The ladies on the phone and in the office were rude. Well, really rude on the phone, to the point I almost called back to cancel. But finding a place to park our huge camper is sometimes difficult so I kept the reservation.
When we checked in, they told us we didn’t need to run all our ac’s because it wasn’t hot outside so we would be fine with 30amp. The sites aren’t numbered and share utilities so if your neighbor is on 50amp, you’ll be stuck with 30amp. Then they said we probably didn’t want to put the patio down since we were only staying one night. And we weren’t allowed to get the motorcycle out because they don’t allow them in the park. Then they told us we would have to pull up if we wanted to dump our sewer, but again informed us we didn’t need to do that since we were only staying one night. (None of this was mentioned on the phone when I made our reservation. I was told we would have a FHU 50amp pull through spot with a river view.)
I’m sorry, but if I’m going to pay $54.58 for one night at an RV park, I like to be able to have full hook ups with 50amp electric, without someone telling me what I need and what I don’t.
It was close to Walmart and right on the Columbia River. Walmart wasn’t selling fishing licenses, and the office was less than helpful with any suggestions about that, so we didn’t get to try our hand at fishing.
The sites do have picnic tables and there are benches and fire rings on the banks of the river. It was alright but I don’t think I would stay here again, mostly because of the attitude of the ladies in the office.
