We were here for about 3 weeks in March/April 2017. We paid $330 for a month plus electric (a $75 deposit is required upon check in) at 13 cents/kW. All the sites are FHU, pull through, gravel, and long enough for the biggest rigs. We had enough room to put our patio down and park the truck. All the spots also face each other and there isn’t much room in between, but for the price, you can’t complain too much!
When we got here they put us in a spot in the back, facing an older fifth wheel with 2 adults and 3 kids living there full time. The next day we asked to move. It was the first time we’ve ever requested to change sites and they were really nice about it. We got a slightly bigger “yard” with enough room to step out of the house without walking on our neighbor’s welcome mat… So that was good!
They fill propane here for $2.99/gallon and you can receive mail and packages at the office. There’s a dog walk area at the back of the park with some trails cut through the brush that Charlie and Eustace enjoyed. They have laundry at the office that’s open 24hrs and bathrooms with a code to get in, and free wifi which I never tried so I can’t tell you how that is.
The first week we were here it was dry and warm and dusty, then the rain started… it was a muddy mess the rest of the time. They were laying new gravel on the empty spots the last couple weeks, so you can tell the new owners are making an effort to improve the park. The website says they bought the place in September 2016.
There’s a Dillon’s (basically a Kroger) a mile down the street, a Walmart 10 minutes the other way, a Dollar General, Goodwill donation center, liquor store and Goddard Vet Clinic (where I took Charlie for her yearly checkup and vaccines).
**if you love sushi, we highly recommend Kanai Sushi. It was the best sushi we’ve ever had and it’s right up the street! That was the most surprising thing about Wichita for us!
