Hi! We’re Rachel & Allen and we live full time in our 2015 Grand Design Momentum 385 fifth wheel toy hauler.  We travel the country for Allen’s work, often only having a couple days notice of where we need to be next. And we love it!

We log a lot of miles and stay a lot of different places. This is our place to share our experiences with our friends and family, as well as our fellow RVers… If you’re looking for honest RV park reviews, delicious recipes, along with some RV troubleshooting tips when it comes to living on the road, you’ve come to the right place! We share mods we’ve made on the camper, little gems we’ve found along the highways, some DIY crafts, and lots of cute puppy pictures! We have a 10lb little mutt named Charlie that rules the roost!

We like good food, trying different local cuisines, craft beer and playing trivia.  We like to watch NASCAR and go to races when we can. I love cooking and trying new recipes, going to flea markets and farmers markets. We love fishing and crabbing and hitting the beach whenever we get the chance. Allen’s a great swimmer. But mostly we are just your average couple, living life on the road the best way we know how: together.

Allen, Rachel and Charlie

We travel full-time for Allen’s job.  He works on broadcast towers, the really tall ones… The 1500′-2000′ ones usually.  It takes a special kind of person to enjoy being that unnaturally high up in the air, I’m just glad he’s my special person. (Here’s a little more about Allen and a little more about Rachel.)

Allen started this round of climbing towers in 2009 by himself with a 26′ Forest River Wildwood travel trailer and a 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500(short bed).

I joined him in January 2013 and we’ve since acquired a spoiled little puppy named Charlie that has us both wrapped around her little paw.  I’m pretty sure she is a terrior/daschund mix but mostly just a sweet little terrorist.  Allen also bought a motorcycle the same week we got the pup (our trade off- It’s all about compromise, right?!)  It’s a 2006 Suzuki Katana 600.

We upgraded the truck to a 2011 Chevy Silverado 3500HD in May 2014, because we needed somewhere to put the bike… (He didn’t think that through very well. Or, maybe he did and just didn’t tell me about it.  That happens occasionally. Probably more often than I know about!)

Then, after months of research, in March of 2015 we traded in the travel trailer for a brand spankin’ new Grand Design Momentum 385th.  It’s seriously a mansion compared to the Wildwood… Check it out!
